Homeowner Forecloses on Wells Fargo – and WINS

Sometimes there are just stories that are too good to pass up.  This homeowner, who was totally fed up with his bank, ended up filing a foreclosure on them for violation of RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act) laws – AND WON!  What I didn’t understand from this video, and I still don’t understand, is why Wells Fargo insisted that he carry a million dollar insurance policy on a home worth about $250,000.  In their words, they said it was to “prevent a total loss should devastating damage occur.”  When the homeowner refused to comply, Wells Fargo put a forced-placement policy into effect.  That’s when Mr. Rodgers decided to fight back. P.S. Do not let it distract you that Mr. Rodgers is a self-proclaimed Vampire. His teeth are a little distracting, but that is NOT the point of this story 🙂
